The Importance of Education

Is education important? Education has been a controversial topic over the past dozen years. Should kids go learn in school or self-learning at home. Education is essential for everyone because it helps people understand morals and rules of the society. Also, education is a part of life both socially and personally. However, the standard of education should be solved because some people obviously have a better education than others.
When kids go learn in school, they actually interact with people with different personalities so they can have different point of views in life. Also, kids can gain knowledge and have a broader views of the world. Self-learning is not as good as learning in school. For instance, reading books or watching TV gives people an enormous amount of information but people may become more civilized if they actually educated in school. Self-learning may lead to incorrect information which can bring negative impacts. Furthermore, if we receive an inappropriate education, life cannot be as easy as you want.
Education plays such a critical role on our society. It’s an important element of the civilization in human society. In fact, all the high technology we create is based on the knowledge or skills that we gain from education. Without education, our world could have been totally different. In other words, education helps us grow as individual and socially.

In my conclusion, there is no doubt that education is beneficial for society. We must need education if we don’t want any illiteracy. Education is harmless but beneficial.

  1. To come to school i not just about learning it's about interacting and get to know new people in the outside. Its not like if we dont go to school we dont have any knowledges, its about exploring the outside world too. Home school and school are totally different thing, home school we can only interact with the people that are beside us (teachers, mom) but in the school we can interact with other grades students, teachers, other parents.SO i think to interact with others can be more socializing and to get new people is a positive thing.

    1. Yes, Tom, very much of what we learn in school is understanding how to interact with peers and figures of authority.

  2. I agree that education is important and that education is essential in the development of society. However, I want to clarify a point about the standard of education. People having different level of education is inevitable and is a natural thing. Some people might choose to get minimum education while others might not. Some people might not have enough money to get maximum education but this is not a problem that can be solved. Everyone is different and everyone can't have the same things. If everyone had the same thing we would be walking puppets. I definitely agree with the fact that education not only allows people to acquire knowledge, but also helps individuals develop social skills. However, I feel like the concept of illiteracy could've been introduced deeper with facts like the harms of illiteracy and such. Other than that, I agree with the fact that education is beneficial and essential to our society.

    1. It is true that education is what you make of it. Those who are more driven and motivated reap greater benefits from educational opportunities than those who do the minimum to get a passing grade.
