Qatar 2022 World Cup
Qatar was selected as a host of 2022 FIFA World Cup. They defeated bids from South Korea, Japan, Australia and the United States. It was a very surprising and shocking decision by FIFA because no one thought that Qatar would defeat countries like South Korea, Japan and USA that hosted the Fifa World Cup
before.
However, now Qatar are facing many problems with their world cup such as
-110 F weather (unbearable walking outside, and definitely not conducive to playing soccer)
-Alcohol is illegal in Qatar →Qatar is an Islamic country.. They should behave in a manner that doesn’t offend the country’s religious, Islam. Therefore, alcohol is illegal in Qatar.
-Homosexuality illegal and carries a heavy penalty
-The government refuses to recognize Israel as a country (If they were to qualify, it wouldn't be pretty.)
-The monarchy king is corrupt and the government doesn't help attract tourists. Attendance will be surely terrible.
A few months ago, Fifa confirmed that it will not be hosted in June or July, but it will be during Winter instead. This means that the world cup would conflict with the soccer season in Europe, because the season usually starts in August and ends in June the next year. This will surely affect many organizations.

I think it is very shocking too that Qatar was selected as the host of 2022 world cup , and defeating countries like South Korea, Japan and USA. I think it will be very interesting to see how Qatar will due with those problems such as the weather (110 F weather). I can also see that a lot of people didn't want Qatar to be the host for 2022 world cup as I can see in the last picture of your blog so I think it will be very interesting to see how will this end.
