Arctic fox endangered

The arctic fox is a carnivore that lives on the land. Arctic foxes are most commonly found in the Northern hemisphere where the weather and climate are cold. They are found in the polar region. Arctic foxes feed on small animals such as rabbit, lemmings, fish, seals, birds, and polar bear’s leftovers. When there is a scarcity of food resources, then the arctic foxes  becomes vulnerable. The population of the arctic fox is around a hundred thousand individuals.

Global warming changes the food chain of the arctic animals, causing the arctic foxes to have trouble finding food and surviving. The arctic fox are being hunted by humans because of their valuable fur. Hunters hunt arctic fox because arctic fox’s fur is very warm and aesthetically pleasing. Arctic fox’s fur is better than arctic wolf’s fur and polar bear’s fur. The World Wildlife Association  is now stopping the hunting of the arctic fox. World wildlife association is having a fundraise.People around the world donates money to the association giving it the ability to set up patrols to protect the wildlife in the arctic. If the hunting continues, then the arctic fox would be very likely to be endangered and possibly go extinct.

It is abnormal to take parts of animals to fulfill our satisfaction. We should not hunt arctic foxes because it is abnormal to take what belongs to them. Arctic foxes pose no threat to humans in the wild. We should treat them better so they won't go endangered or extinct. Arctic foxes are considered as one of the keystone specie in the arctic region. If the arctic fox goes extinct, then there will be a collapse and alternation in the food web in the arctic.

The inuits are hunting the arctic fox for fur trading. The inuits use the skin of the arctic as coats that keep them warm. I think the inuits should replace fur coats with other animal friendly coats. Using feather coat would be better than using a fox fur coat.
