Plastic bags are having a big impact on our lovely environment. It doesn’t only affect the animals in the ocean, but also the temperature of the globe. If this issue continues, most of the animals in the ocean will go extinct and humans will also face problems such as climate change, ocean pollution, and ice melting. These are some serious issues of the world that we need to solve as soon as possible. We humans need to prevent it from getting worse.
I think we should stop using single use plastic bags and use recyclable bags instead. This is the most efficient way to prevent plastic pollution to our world! Recyclable bags are beneficial and useful because we can use recyclable bags over and over again. Also, it’s convenient and easy to carry around, so I highly recommend people to use it as alternative to plastic bags, which is bad for environment.
There is a feasible solution to cleanup ocean garbage patches, invented by a 19 years old student. His solution is to use the natural ocean currents and winds to send plastics to collection platform. By doing it for ten years, almost half of the plastic within the great Pacific garbage patches will be removed.
Since we are global citizens, we have the responsibility to protect our only world. Imagine if one day, our world is no longer healthy and about to die. We will have no place to settle, and thus, everyone of us will die. It is never too late. From now on, we should all contribute something to the world, and try to save it as much as we can.
