Poverty is a big world problem. The word poverty ties strongly with word hunger. Every one in nine people suffer from food shortages. Many people in the world have to choose between nutrition and education. I feel that the poverty problem is a pressing issue and should be solved immediately. However, the problem is not that easy to solve. Since there is enough food in the world to feed everyone, we have to work on food distribution. We should also teach places where people are poor to look for food. Teaching people to make food is more effective and more cost effective than giving them food everyday, but, I am not an expert in this area. Maybe people have tried and failed. Nevertheless, we should alleviate hunger first. Even if they are poor, if they have food then they can survive. After the problem of food is solved, then we can start upgrading their living standards.
We must help our fellow humans. We are having a safe and secure life, but many people are not. Getting rid of poverty will make our world a better place.
