World's Poverty by Pat 11B: What are we aiming?

For the past decades, we have had spent billions of dollars into solving world poverty. We provided humanitarian aids, established schools and hospitals, heck, we even tried to stabilize poverty-infested country’s economies. Then why is poverty still one of our main problems? Take countries in Africa, for example. How much did we spend helping them? How many technologies did we provide them to make themselves self-sustainable? How come poverty in Africa never ends?

It would be wrong to not include other places in the world that are facing poverty. We have countries in South America, the Middle East, and even Southeast Asia countries, too. For sure, we can’t just blame bad economies for poverty in this world. There are other factors too such as war, diseases, etc.

I think we are approaching the problem ineffectively. We view these countries as being weak and need someone to look after when, in reality, I personally see these people as potential investments. These poor people would do anything to escape poverty, correct? No, I am not looking down on them. So that means there loyalty is unquestionable if someone would help/save them and give them better lives. We already spend billions of dollars protecting our oil, and on resources and on military hardwares. Then why not hire these people? I’m talking about millions of loyal workforces (technician workers) that can be trained and can be deployed whenever we want. I say we turn these people into security forces, engineers, technical workers that can help defend our cause. With many workers, we can finally send people to space and begin the age of space colonization without having to worry about manpower.
