Drug Addiction & War

Drugs is an unstoppable problem that teenagers and adults have struggle with. Many places and countries are now legalizing drugs, however. They’re also trying to reduce it too. People have different opinions, but for me, drugs are bad and they can harm you mentally, physically, and emotionally. For example, heroin and cocaine are addictive drugs and it causes many health problems or even death.

Nowadays, teenagers are consuming drugs more than before. About 50% of high school seniors in the U.S. think that it is okay to try drugs once or twice. Drug addiction causes brain disease because the abuse of drugs leads to a change in the brain structure and function. About 28% of 8th graders are now smoking and drinking alcohol in the U.S. Marijuana is now conquering students’ lives and statistics said that students are smoking marijuana more than smoking cigarettes. This stuff is bad and will cause your mental ability to slow down.

U.S.A is trying to stop drugs war by spending billion of dollars every years. The drug war started in 1971 by President Nixon. From the start to present the federal government spent more than one trillion of dollars already. That’s lot of money that can be spent for children and to stop starvation in America. While Obama is trying to promote health care, he’s also trying to stop the drug war which he spends more than billion of dollars. In my opinion, he should just stop the drug war and use the money he spend for his health care.

Stop using drugs and help others stop it. For more information about global issues stuff, go to twitter and #tcisbkkhs
