According to FICA, the Fur Information Council of America, United states fur sales went for 1.39 billion USD in 2013. Some of the animals that were used for fur farming are rabbits, mink, wolves, raccoons, and other animals, but FICA ensure no endangered animals species was used in fur farming in America. Hunting and trapping are also used to catch animals for their fur using traps such as leg-hold traps, drowning set traps, conibear traps, etc.

Fur Farming Processes are designed to maximize profits, so the producers never do care about the animals' well-being. They lock up a bunch of the same species of animals in the same cage with tiny spaces, blocking them from doing their normal animal routines such as swimming, running, climbing, etc. This result leads to many animals to become insane and to bite their own tails, hands and other parts of the body. The cages are placed in rows in dark, filthy areas. Ammonia from the animals' urine and feces also burn their eyes and lungs. Unprotected cages from rain, chill and heat, creating parasites and diseases to the animals.
